WATER-BASED DYE FOR LEATHER SOLES. VERY BRIGHT POLISHED
FONDOLAC is an emulsion of natural waxes bound by synthetic polymers which is used for coloring the bottom of buffed leather soles. It can be supplied in the transparent and semi-covering version. The final film is very shiny, full-bodied and has a remarkable elasticity. It is applied with a brush or, more generally, with a roller machine on the base of buffed leather soles. The soles can also be colored by manual spraying or using automatic sprayers (nozzle diameter 1.4-1.6 mm; spray pressure 3 atms).
The final finishing (or demoulding) is carried out by passing the colored sole to the canvas rotary on which the ABRASIVE WAX is applied and finally polished with a wool rotary on which the CARNAUBA polishing wax is applied. A current method is to hot plate the sole using a special mould. By means of this operation a glossy and non-sticky colored film is obtained.
