COLORANT FOR WATER-BASED SOLES. TWO-TONE EFFECT
L'INVECCHIATO is an aqueous dispersion of organic and inorganic pigments bound by emulsions of waxes and synthetic resins. It is used for the antiquing of the bottom of buffed leather soles.
The technical application takes place by spraying the color manually or by means of an automatic machine on the frosted sole (gun nozzle diameter 0.3 mm; pressure 4 atms). The final finishing is done by passing the colored sole to the canvas rotary on which the ABRASIVE WAX is applied and finally, polished by the wool rotary on which the CARNAUBA polishing wax is applied (brush rotation speed lower than 1,000 rpm). With this operation, an aged and full-bodied film is obtained. It is possible to use INVECCHIATO directly on the frosted grain of the sole obtaining, in this case, a slightly antiqued film.
